The Day After Tomorrow (67)

The Day After Tomorrow was the first of two movies I watched today. Before arriving at the cinema I had intended to see the third Harry Potter or Shrek 2. Due to the incompetence of fellow movie goers, and their dawdling, HP was out of the question. The entire day's Shrek 2 was booked out. This basically left The Day After Tomorrow as the only real choice.

It surprised me, with it's goodness. It had a few, er, flaws (with things that just baffled me as to why they were that way), but nothing that really detracted from two hours of gripping movie.

Although I must admit to everytime I see Jake Gyllenhaal I half expect a crazy evil bunny to jump out of nowhere. Perhaps this is an idea for an extra feature on DVDs? (Or perahaps it would be corny, or just copyright violating.)

Would I reccomend you see this? Yes. Would I see it again? Yes. (At the movies? Perhaps. On DVD? Definately.) Would I own it on DVD? Maybe.
