Australia does reasonable comedies (often really quite funny), but I stand by my own belief that what they do really well are engaging dramas. Lantana is probably the quickest to come to mind, but The Bank is also a good example. Gripping well thought out drama.
It's simple in it's concept, but it's pulled off by a cast that is believable, dialogue that flows, and a plot that holds it all together. Very much worth renting, and probably one I'd like to own.
